Action In Rural Sussex

September sees the launch of a www.sussexruralpast.org.uk, a new website from Action in rural Sussex. The aims of the website are:

• To share the research around the history of social housing in rural areas, gathered by young  people involved in the Changing Estates heritage project

• To provide information on other young people led heritage projects from AirS

• To create a network providing information around other community heritage projects in rural Sussex

The website was launched alongside a private view of an exhibition at Ditchling Museum, where young people involved in the project talked to invited guests about their experiences.  The Ditchling exhibition plots the development of the young people as historical researchers through the activities they took part in, and shows some of their findings.  The exhibition is on display at Ditchling Museum until Christmas.
